Meet Our Great Staff !

Director Charlene Goshgarian is the school’s director, who also teaches a class in Pre-K.  She has a B. A. in English and Masters courses in Instructional Technology.  Charlene has been with St. Augustine since its start in 1999.  Charlene promotes learning through  multi-sensory interactive experiences and group activities.  In Pre-K the children start with letter and number recognition; they move onto phonics and rhyming words.  By the end of the year students are reading easy books because they can recognize about 35 sight words.  They also can add and subtract numbers 1-10.
Teacher Jeanette Baumgras  is dynamic, creative teacher who has worked at St. Augustine since 2000.  She has many areas of expertise and her love of children and children’s literature is evident by the way the students react to her in the classroom. Jeanette’s students are excited about learning and she inspires them to strive for excellence in all areas.  Jeanette has an Associate’s Degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.  In her spare time she volunteers at a local elementary school and also mentors middle and high school students in Literary Arts.
Teacher Debra St. Cyr  has been with the school since 2002.  She is a warm and caring professional with a nurturing teaching style, who has a B.S. degree from Michigan State in Early Childhood Education.  Her teaching style focuses on developmentally age appropriate activities that integrate learning with play.  In Miss Debbie’s class children experience a busy day of hands-on activities in centers that revolve around the theme of the day.  Miss Debbie makes learning fun, and as a result the children in her classes always love coming to school.
